Chapman Vanilla
The vanilla reading in Chapman’s flavoured range, from German family house von Eicken (founded 1770). A king-size (10 mg) cigarette whose sweetness rides on an aromatized filter — soft, light and almost odourless in a room, built to savour rather than to hit hard.

How smokers describe it
Entry
A sweet vanilla-milk and baked-pastry aroma off the filter on the first puffs — pleasant and creamy, fans stress it is not cloying or chemical.
Mid
Light, soft smoke with an easy draw and little throat cut; the tobacco base comes through gently under the sweetness. Some smokers pick up a throat tickle from the middle of the pack onward.
Finish
Where opinions divide: for fans a sweet vanilla note lingers cleanly on the lips with no chemical aftertaste; for others it reads as vague sweetness rather than clear vanilla, and the smoke can feel a touch muddled.
the everyday of it
Chapman is the specialist aromatic line of Joh. Wilh. von Eicken, a German family tobacco house that has run since 1770 and turned 250 in 2020 — one of the last of its kind, still working from raw leaf to finished pack. The whole brand is about sweet flavoured tobacco carried through its filter, and Vanilla is the dessert end of that idea: a slim, decorative pack and a creamy aroma that stays soft in a room. It isn’t a heavy tobacco cigarette dressed up; it’s a flavoured treat, made by people who have only ever made flavoured tobacco.
gifting
Not a formal gift, honestly — but the decorative pack and the pleasant, non-offensive indoor smell make it a flattering little treat. Its real appeal is self-treat or sharing among light aromatic smokers: a sweet, low-harshness smoke to pass around rather than a face-giving present.
Smoker terminology
Aromatic (flavoured) — tobacco whose taste is led by an added sweet aroma — here vanilla — mostly through a scented filter, von Eicken’s whole specialty.
von Eicken — Joh. Wilh. von Eicken GmbH, the independent German family house (est. 1770) behind Chapman.
Telling the versions apart
Vanilla is one flavour in Chapman’s small aromatic family alongside cherry, coffee and a classic reading; the range shares the same sweet-filter, king-size approach, with Vanilla the sweetest and most dessert-like of them.
Good to know
Does it taste strongly of vanilla?
It is sweet and creamy, but be honest-eyed about it: a recurring complaint is that the vanilla reads faint or non-specific — some smokers taste generic sweetness from the filter rather than a clear vanilla. Fans love it; others find it vague. We’d rather you knew going in.
Is this a strong cigarette?
No. At 10 mg tar / 0.8 mg nicotine over a soft base it is a light, easy smoke with little throat cut — made to savour, not to deliver a big hit. Heavy smokers will likely find it thin.
How do I know it’s genuine?
Scan the pack barcode 4006396089816 before opening the carton — it should return this exact Chapman Vanilla edition, with the von Eicken branding and health warning intact.
Any downsides I should know about?
Two beyond the flavour: the packing can feel loose or soft, and some smokers report a throat tickle from the back half of the pack. Both show up in reviews, so we list them rather than hide them.
Who is it really for?
Smokers who like sweet, aromatic cigarettes and want something light, soft and low-smell to savour — often women, light and social smokers. Not for anyone chasing a strong tobacco body.
How does it ship?
Tracked, in plain unmarked outer packaging. Import duty and personal-import limits are your responsibility and vary by country; if a tracked parcel is seized, our reship terms apply.
