Hunan flue-cured · soft pack · premium gift tier
Baisha Soft Hetianxia
The soft-pack edition of Hetianxia, the premium flagship of Baisha from Changsha. An 84 mm flue-cured king pitched on balance rather than brute strength — the brand’s ‘rich, clean, sweet and refined’ house style in a softer-handling pack, built for the social and gifting end rather than the daily grind.

Smoker · Cultural Notes
How Chinese smokers talk about it — impressions and culture, not official claims.
How smokers describe it
Entry
Soft and lightly sweet over a mellow cured-tobacco base, with almost no bite — a faint plum note and a creamy roundness, the Hetianxia house style opening in its gentlest form.
Mid
The flavours settle into the brand’s signature balance — composed and layered rather than led by one note. Smoke volume is fair and the body reads medium; lighter smokers find it smooth and polished, heavier ones can find it moderate for the price.
Finish
A quiet, faintly tea-like close for most of the stick. The honest catch: it burns a touch fast, and on some sticks a sharper edge or an off-note can creep into the last third. We’d rather you knew that going in.
the everyday of it
Baisha takes its name from a historic well in Changsha and has been one of China’s best-known cigarettes since 1975. Hetianxia is its prestige line, launched in 2005 for the brand’s thirtieth anniversary and named for a Confucian idea of harmony under heaven — the deep-purple-and-gold pack with its crane-and-cloud motif is meant to be recognised on sight. The soft edition is the quieter, more casual-carry member of the family: the same composed house style, in a pack that sits a little softer in the hand than the firm box.
gifting
A genuine gifting smoke. Hetianxia sits in Baisha’s top prestige tier, and the deep-purple-and-gold livery with the Baisha name carries real face value in Chinese social settings — much of what this line is for. The soft pack reads a touch more casual and personal than the hard box, which some prefer for an everyday-premium offer across a table; for a formal presentation the hard edition’s firmer box photographs and gifts a shade more imposingly. Either way, this is a cigarette meant to be offered, not just worked through alone.
Smoker terminology
Hetianxia — ‘Harmony under heaven’ — the name of Baisha’s premium line, from a Confucian idea the brand renders as ‘harmony brings good fortune, shared by all.’
Nong qing gan ya — ‘Rich, clean, sweet, refined’ — the four words the brand uses for the balanced, layered house character of the blend.
Telling the versions apart
Hetianxia runs in soft and hard editions on the same premium footing. This is the soft pack — 10 mg tar / 1.0 mg nicotine / 12 mg carbon monoxide, a softer hand feel and more casual carry; the hard box is firmer with marginally fuller figures. The 84 mm flue-cured king format and the deep-purple-and-gold family look are the constants across both.
Good to know
Is this a strong cigarette?
No — it is medium. At 10 mg tar and 1.0 mg nicotine it reads smooth and composed rather than powerful; heavy smokers sometimes find the body moderate, which is the honest trade-off for its balance.
How is the soft pack different from the hard box?
They are the same premium family and house style. The soft pack is a touch lighter on paper (10 / 1.0 / 12) with a softer hand feel and easier carry; the hard box is firmer, protects the sticks better and carries marginally fuller figures.
What does it taste like?
A soft, lightly sweet entry over a mellow cured-tobacco base, with a faint plum note and a quiet, tea-like close — the brand’s ‘rich-clean-sweet-refined’ balance rather than one dominant aroma.
How do I know it’s genuine?
Scan the small-pack barcode 6901028196017 before opening the carton — it should return this exact edition, with the laser anti-counterfeit print and health warning intact.
Is it good for gifting?
Yes — Hetianxia is Baisha’s prestige line, and the deep-purple-and-gold pack and the brand name carry real standing in Chinese social settings, which is much of what this tier is for.
How does it ship?
